A-Link

Biographie

Aurélien became interested in electronic music during his engineering studies in Lyon, a city often cited as the capital of Techno and House music, with such not-to-be-missed venues as Le Sucre, Le Petit Salon and Le Transbordeur. Initially a clubber with his school friends, he soon felt the need to move over to the other side of the decks, and the A-Link project was born.

A true experimenter, the desire to create his own music was a logical next step. With no “traditional” basis in composition or instrumentation, he made his first demos on Ableton, which he shared with friends and family. Fascinated by the groove of Chicago House tracks, the young Chartrettois gave himself the means to perfect his style by learning to play the piano on his own. At the same time, he and his band of friends decided to set up the “Label Affaire Records” collective and label in 2017.

The adventure continues and after 2 single releases on Label Affaire Records, he takes a new step in March 2020 with the release of his first EP Significant Other. He followed this up a year later with the Groove & Minor Nines EP, in which he once again asserts his influences from artists such as Kolter, Black Loops, Oden & Fatzo and Toolate Groove. Determined, he refines and perfects his musical productions with increasing efficiency, allowing him to free himself from all restraints on the expression of his ideas in music.

Carte d’Amour 003

His productions gained increasing recognition and, in 2021, he won the “Carte d’Amour 003” competition organized by Lyon-based label Cartes Records (with a bonus remix by Déborah Aime La Bagarre).

First vinyl EP “Global Warning”

Following numerous releases on LAR as well as other renowned labels (Hustler Trax, Whoyostro, Fresh Take Records), A-Link recently released his first vinyl EP “Global Warning”, an achievement after years of concentration on musical creation.
